Type 4 · The Individualist and Type 9 · The Peacemaker. No two types are right or wrong for each other. This page shows how you may meet in ten everyday moments, with one thing to try in each. Use it to start a conversation, not to judge your relationship.
Every person is different. Read these as tendencies to talk about, not as facts about anyone.
Each line runs between two ways of doing things. The numbers show where each type often sits. Neither end is better.
A good mix of easy ground and places to meet halfway.
Start here: Talk about these first. They are where the two of you are furthest apart: opening up, when you disagree and making up after a fight.
Try this: One shares fast, one opens slowly. Don't push, ask, then wait. When they do share, listen first; don't rush to fix.
Try this: Fun means different things to you. Take turns: one weekend their way, one weekend yours. Joining their kind of fun is another way of saying “I love you”.
Try this: You show love in different ways. Name the other's way out loud: “You sorted that for me. I know that's your way of saying it.”
Try this: You want the same balance of together and apart. Keep it intentional, not just habit.
Try this: One of you needs reassurance, the other needs room. Agree on a small daily signal that gives both: a check-in message, then space.
Try this: You decide at the same pace. Check now and then that you're not both skipping the same step.
Try this: You plan the same way. Ask each other now and then what you might both be missing.
Try this: Stress shows up the same way in both of you. Watch that you don't spiral together, whoever notices first, names it.
Try this: One wants to talk now, the other needs space. Agree: “Give me 30 minutes, then I'll come back.” And come back.
Try this: One needs to talk it through, one wants to move on. Do both: “I'm sorry for my part,” a set time to talk, then a kind gesture. And when they make peace their way, accept it.

In the ten moments above, a Type 4 and a Type 9 are naturally in sync in 4 moments, meet halfway in 3 moments and are marked “take care” in 3 moments. That shows you where to start talking, not how your relationship will go.
A Type 4 often feels loved when their feelings are understood, without a rush to fix them. A Type 9 often feels loved when someone asks what they want, and waits for the answer.
The biggest gaps are often in: opening up, when you disagree and making up after a fight. Pick one and talk about it this week, using the “Try this” line.
Each of you can take the free love test (5–8 minutes), then open the X-Map for Couples. Your result is a starting point to reflect on, not a label.
A type is a mirror, not a label. It shows how someone tends to love, work or train, never who they have to be.
